The Blue Alley of the Old Dyer

Some numbers are hidden in the picture, some harder to spot than others. Tap or click on them as soon as you spot them, in any order you like: they disappear. To zoom: two fingers on a phone, the scroll wheel on a computer.

About this game

At sunset, golden light slips between the palm trees and clings to the facades. In this alley, the pink walls on the left answer the blue doors and walls on the right, and pots of geraniums, cacti and pink flowers punctuate every wrought-iron balcony. The multicolored cobblestones, worn by footsteps, lead to a lantern hanging on the blue facade.

The old dyer who lived here never really left his neighborhood: it is said that every morning he watered his pots before going down to the workshop. Something changed that night, and it is up to you to follow the thread by observing every detail, from the knocker on the great door to the bougainvillea climbing along the wall. This hidden numbers game requires patience.

To play better, look at the lines of the scenery: shutter stripes, fabric folds, plant branches and paving joints can conceal numbers. Some are lying down, tilted, or the same color as the wall; also be sure to distinguish the 6 from the 9. The magnifying glass and zoom help you see the finest shapes.

Take your time searching for the numbers in this corner of the blue and pink town, at your own pace. This free online game plays just as well on mobile as on computer.
