About this game

On a spring morning, light slants in through the left-hand windows and casts long, soft shadows across the green and white tiled floor. Beneath the great glass-roofed framework, the colors echo one another: oranges are stacked in pyramids, pomegranates glow red, olives shine in their woven baskets, and mounds of saffron, cumin and paprika make ochre and vermilion touches.

The market hums. Women in djellabas and headscarves pass girls in pastel blue and pink dresses, while striped rugs hang along the whitewashed arcades and clay tagines line up on the stalls. In the background, bougainvillea-covered balconies and hanging pennants give the square a festive air.

To play better, take time to look at the lines of the scene. Numbers slip into the stripes of the rugs, the weaving of the baskets, the coiled ropes in the foreground and the folds of the fabrics. Some are lying down, tilted, or the same shade as the background, and the 6 as well as the 9 require a careful eye. The magnifying glass and zoom will help you tell apart the smallest shapes.
