A large painted goose game board covers the entire village square, under soft morning light falling from the left and casting short, crisp shadows across the ochre cobblestones. The red, blue, and cream spiral spaces look freshly varnished, and the wooden pawns wait their turn at the edge of the board.

On this summer morning, the square slowly wakes up. The half-timbered façades with blue shutters are in bloom, pennants flutter above the streets, and a large golden goose, crowned with a star, keeps watch near the stone well. On the right, a small toy market with a striped awning is already coming to life, with bright colors and windmills turning in the breeze.
